Cecilia Zango

Cecilia Zango is a warrior. An artist who fights battles in each of her songs under lyrics masked in poetry, where she finds herself and lives. Born in Cáceres 25 years ago, she portrays her origins in her songs and she carries her homeland Extremadura rooted in her voice wherever she goes.

Her singles ‘Oro Molío’, ‘La Onna Bugeisha’ or ‘Vándalos’ show us that Cecilia is earth and blood, and in our festival, we will vibe to her varied cocktail of sounds. With a flamenco base and harmonies of Arab music always present and citing Camarón de la Isla and Antonio Molina as top references, her music also fluctuates between hip-hop, R’n’B, trap el o reggae. Her strongest influences are Alewya (Ethiopia), Dub Incorporation (Morocco), Gata Cattana (Spain), Raja Kumari (India) and Bu Kolthoum (Syria)
