But also it has a rich and complex gastronomy: its History dates back to the 7,000 b.C., so there has been Romans, Muslims and Catalans in this Mediterranean island. To try its typical tasty and healthy recipes, made with the best of the land and the sea, is a must.

CARACOLES

This exquisite delicacy is made with broth and potatoes, and it will delight all those who like snails because they are especially tasty. To prepare the broth, parsley, garlic, fennel, mint and chilli will be used. To cook the potatoes, onion, tomato, oil, salt and pepper is combined. The mix will be perfect and in addition, this dish can be accompanied by the traditional all i oli to give it the touch.

PA AMB OLI

This recipe is as classic as simple: toasted bread with a great jet of olive oil and salt. You can spread some garlic or even typical Majorcan tomatoes on it. Locals also like to eat it with cheese, tuna, olives or grilled meat and sausages, and it can only be tasted as breakfast or like a snack.

TUMBET

Vegetarian recipe made with local vegetables. Its preparation is based on frying eggplants and potatoes and placing these ingredients in a traditional clay pot. Vegetables will be added to a sauce made from ripe tomatoes, oil, garlic and salt.

COCA DE TRAMPƓ

Cocas are a Majorcan recipe that is widespread throughout Southern Catalonia and the Valencian Community. You can find many different versions of coca, with different meats or cold meats, with tuna, with many vegetables also and even with cheese. In particular, the TrampĆ³ coca typical from Majorca is made with that special touch provided by red peppers, Italian green peppers, tomatoes, onion, paprika, onion, olive oil and Mediterranean salt.
