Summer is not over and we already have our sights set on winter. In September our Mallorca Live Nights concert cycle will return to Palma’s Es Gremi venue and today we have announced the new edition’s lineup: Babasónicos (September 10), Delaporte (October 21), Depedro (October 22), Quique González (November 26) , Baiuca (December 17), Rufus T. Firefly (January 7), Alice Wonder (January 28) and Morgan (February 25).

Quique González and Morgan’s concerts –originally included in Mallorca Live Summer– change dates and are now included in Es Gremi’s concert series.

Babasónicos is one of the most prolific bands on the Latin American rock scene. For more than two decades, they have been throwing Argentine rock off balance from the very heart of the beast. Few bands have managed to make such incorrect songs that have become radio hits and which entire stadiums throughout Latin America sing as if they were sweet and harmless pop songs. We saw this at Mallorca Live Festival 2019 and we will do it again in September, when the Argentine band opens the new edition of Mallorca Live Nights showcasing their latest album, Trinchera.

Delaporte has kept us dancing since Como Anoche (2019), a debut album which came out as an electronic pop shock. Since then Sandra Delaporte and Sergio Salvi have ceaselessly continued to look for new ways and researched other topics with Las Montañas (2020), Titanas and the Abril EP (2021). Following their Mallorca Live Festival visit, we want more and they’ll take their dance powers to Es Gremi.

DEPEDRO is the musical project of Jairo Zavala started in 2008. From that moment on, DEPEDRO’s border project has poured musical, aesthetic and cultural influences from Latin America, Africa, the Mediterranean or the United States, in a musical career with eight published albums, including his first live album, Antes de que anochezca (2022). After visiting Mallorca Live Summer 2021’s stage, Depedro returns to the island and will bring to Es Gremi songs that have taken him all around the globe.

Quique González will present his new album in Mallorca, Sur en el valle (2021), a title inspired by that famous wind throughout the Cantabrian coast to which all kinds of legends are associated. This is the thirteenth album by Quique González in his more than two decades of record career. A time in which the artist from Madrid has built a unique repertoire with the dedication and affection of a craftsman.

The Galician producer took us by surprise in 2018 with his first studio album, Solpor, and he isn’t just Spain’s breakout folktronic project, but the world’s. Quite an experience that we witnessed at Mallorca Live Festival and we’ll do it again to close 2022 in style. Baiuca will come back to Majorca in December to share his particular understanding of his homeland’s music with his latest release, Embruxo (2021).

The new year will start with Rufus T. Firefly, a band already considered a cult act within the Spanish independent scene. After making their Mallorca Live Festival debut and captivating its audience,  Rufus T. Firefly will bring to Es Gremi their latest album, El Largo Mañana. More than 10 years on it was their 2017 LP Magnolia which granted the group their well-deserved big leap. An ambitious and unique piece, oblivious to trends and urgency, it found its sequel in Loto (2019).

Alice Wonder is the clear example of the arrival of a musical generational change. At just 24 years old, the singer and songwriter has burst onto the music scene with an artistic maturity that can scare the veterans. A precocious energy that will pass through Es Gremi next year to showcase her new LP, Que Se Joda Todo Lo Demás (2022).

Morgan has become one of the most beloved bands by the public and critics in recent years. They have hooked us with their good taste to interpret American rock, soul and R&B and a 10 direct. With their debut, North (2015), they started playing and have not stopped since then. Then came Air (2018) to confirm that we were in front of a very special band. Morgan will visit Es Gremi to present his latest work, The River and the Stone (2021), at the last date of Mallorca Live Nights.
